Dick Drip

Discharges that come out of the penis can be called dick drip. It can come out as watery or cloudy and may contain pus or blood. Several conditions can cause penile discharge, including urinary tract infection (UTI) or sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

No matter what the cause is, a dick drip can be embarrassing, uncomfortable, and irritating. It may even hamper your daily life, sexual life, and urination. A dick drip can occur along with blood or pinkish discharge during urination. The discharge may also accompany other conditions like a rash, itching, swelling, or redness. Some people with penile discharge may also experience other symptoms that resemble flu, such as fever, headache, cough, sore throat, aches, and fatigue.

A dick drip is usually caused by an infection which is commonly from STDs and UTI, but it can also be caused by other conditions. Some of the non-sexual causes of a dick drip include pre-ejaculation, which happens when sexual interest is aroused, and chemical irritation that can be caused by soaps, spermicide, and deodorants. Physical manipulation like excessive masturbation or rough sex and smegma, which is a natural occurrence, can also cause penile discharge. It can also be caused by balanitis which is the inflammation of the penis head that can occur due to poor hygiene, urine irritation, physical manipulation, bacterial infections, and even STD in some cases.

A dick drip can also be a sign of a sexually transmitted disease and may be accompanied by itching, burning, and the need to pee more often. STDs like chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis can also cause penile discharge. People with gonorrhea may experience penile drip that can appear yellow. Trichomoniasis is caused by a parasite known as trichomonas vaginalis that can lead to urethritis that causes the discharge. A penile discharge may also be a sign of urethritis that is caused by certain STDs like gonorrhea and chlamydia. Urethritis is a bacterial infection that inflames the urethra and causes the discharge. There are two types of urethritis – gonococcal and nongonococcal.

Discharge from dick can mean many things, and it can be hard to pinpoint the exact cause. So, if you are concerned about the discharge, always get tested to be sure and get the right treatment to prevent future health complications.
