Emergency Room Std Testing

The CDC estimates show that annually there are over 20 million new cases of STD reported in the U.S. With the numbers of STD cases increasing at such an alarming rate, you may be at risk of contracting one. Using all possible resources to tackle this problem is the need of the hour. And so, if you wish to get yourself tested for STD infections, emergency room STD testing is generally not  available.

In many cities, it is not common to use the emergency room as the primary place for STD health care. Also, many don't find it comfortable to visit emergency rooms for STD testing. In the meantime, there can be issues that concern emergency room STD testing. The reason is that emergency departments are not the most favorable locations for regular STD checking. Studies show that of the total visits to the emergency room, 36% are genuine emergencies.

If you have multiple sex partners or practice unprotected sexual intercourse, then you're at risk of STD infection. Generally, belonging to the age group 18 to 25 or having a history of previous STDs makes you vulnerable. Hence, it would help if you went for regular STD testing every once in a while. If you fail to do so, it can put you and your loved ones' life at risk of health complications. Like emergency room STD testing, STD clinic testing can involve swab tests, saliva tests, blood tests, and urine tests. As such tests are easy and painless, you don't have to fear or feel nervous about getting tested.

With medical advancement in recent years, the rates of new HIV cases are reducing yearly. Also, most STDs are now treatable with proper medication. However, it is a challenge for the EDs to carry out regular STD tests with an ever-increasing population.  Hence, with concern for the rising STD infections, there are now thousands of STD clinics spread nationwide.

In case you are looking for one, you can go to our partner's STD testing labs and get tested discreetly. It takes only about ten minutes to complete the testing process. All the more, you will be able to see your results just after a day or two. With such alternatives available, you won't have to go for emergency room STD testing anymore.
